The skin features Shyvana as a fierce warrior in immaculate blue armor with a gem encrusted on her headpiece.
The skin itself features our half dragon champion as a battle-ready warrior with shining-new armor that looks super impressive. It seems that the rune shard burning within her heart was exchanged for a blue one, as everything has this color.
Starting with her new armor in the dragon form, which transforms her into a metal beast, to Shyvana's abilities. Yes, the particles have also been changed so that now her flame breath explodes with vivid blue light.
The above change applies to all of her abilities which use the fearsome dragon's flame. Be careful of the fire -- dealing magic damage can now be even more satisfying. Twin bite, Burnout, Flame Breath, and Dragon Descend still change the enemies hit into scorched Earth, but they now do it in blue.
Sadly, Shyvana's basic attacks still look the same, but so does enemies' bonus magic resistance and/or even more bonus armor-- unable to defend them from the fiery breath.
In addition to this, the skin also includes a new recall animation where Shyvana stands on a blue podium before being teleported back to base. In her true form, we get a whole new animation -- she hits the ground and proceeds to roar as if at the surrounding enemies.
To complete the skin and overall Championship theme, new sounds have been included to make this a must-own skin.
A little aside for people who were wondering if fire can indeed be blue, the answer is yes. A blue flame happens when a fire burns really well. Apparently, when there's more air than fuel, the fire burns hotter and produces a blue color.
Luckily enough, League of Legends is not a pay-to-win title, and this piece of trivia does not translate to Shyvana dealing bonus magic damage when wearing this skin,
Championship Shyvana is a legacy skin that was released in October 2014.
The skin was released to celebrate the Season 4 of League of Legends World Championship and was available in the store for the duration of the event for 975 RP. Anyone could buy the skin up until it was removed shortly after the event.
It was the first Championship skin released that doesn't feature a Roman numeral that corresponds with the specific season.
