Victorious Maokai skin is meant to be a representation of him reaching the pinnacle of his champion status in the lore -- basically the ultimate representation of him "crushing it" (and he certainly does). Seeing him, it is hard to believe that he has survived through the unnatural horrors of Shadow Isles.
The skin itself features a completely new texture, as Maokai has been given a full visual makeover. The standard model has been changed to him wearing a Victorious rich blue robe tied around his twisted roots fashionably. This outfit is enriched by the addition of the gold embroidered leaves which seem to come alive as Maokai slowly advances forwards. His massive tree arm now includes a golden bracelet with which Maokai may smack his nearby enemies repeatedly. On top of that, it is all decorated with blue gems made so well that they seem to be life infused.
New particles have also been introduced. The previous ones were changed and they match the Victorious theme; his sapling now (although the details may be hard to notice) has a matching skin texture with a blue robe and golden highlights (all in all, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree). Because of that, every time Victorious Maokai lays one of his traps on enemies, you can enjoy not only the incoming magic damage, but also the cuteness overload.
If you think those are all the changes in this version of your favorite Shadow Isles character, then you're wrong. The skin also features a new recall animation where Maokai summons his sapling that fetches him a silver podium while fanning him with a leaf.
Like the other Victorious skins, the skin does not include any new sound effects, and they all remain the same.
Up through the beginning of the Summer split Maokai was one of the league's most eagerly picked top laners, that is why Riot Games decided to commemorate it by adding him to the group of the victorious.
Victorious Maokai was released in November 2016 and then gifted to all players who reached gold, or a higher rank, at the end of season 6. The skin and champion (if someone hadn't had it) were automatically added to eligible players' accounts at the end of the season on 11th November 2016.
The victorious skinline is composed of champions that were exceptionally popular in one of the previous season and have had a significant impact on the game's meta. They are meant to showcase champions in the very best versions of themselves.
Maokai shares the Victorious skin theme with Jarvan IV, Janna, Elise, Morgana, Sivir, Maokai, Graves, Orianna, Aatrox, Lucian, Blitzcrank, and Sejuani.
The design for each Victorious skin is kept secret until the end of the season, at which point Riot Games unveils it to the LoL community. The skins are typically characterized by their high-quality artwork and unique particle effects, which make them stand out from other skins in the game.
This skin has actually never been available in the Riot store as it was gifted to players at the end of season 6.
If you missed out on the Victorious Maokai skin then don't worry, it's still possible to get it (it won't be easy though). The only way to get the skin nowadays is to buy an account with it already redeemed. If you're looking for an account with it on be sure to check out our skin shop for accounts with it included.
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
