Sweetheart Sona is a common skin that was released in February 2016.
The Sweetheart Sona skin was released to celebrate Valentine's Day in 2016. Sona also shares the same skin theme with Sweetheart Annie which was released for Valentine's Day in 2015. It’s also very likely that there will be a new Sweetheart skin released in 2017.
The skin itself features Sona in a new red hearts dress with a new golden harp she carries around. All of her robes and tails have also been changed to incorporate the hearts shape which matches the theme.
In addition to the model changes, the skin also includes several new particles for auto attacks and abilities. Her abilities now summon a circular ring on the floor which are full of hearts around the edge. Her auto attacks now fire golden shards that explode into hearts when hitting the enemy. Sona’s ultimate ability now displays 4 golden hearts as it sends out a long golden path.
Included with the skin is a new recall animation where Sona throws her harp and then dances with it before teleporting back.
The skin also includes a whole new host of sound effects for her abilities, recall animation and auto attacks.
