Project Yi is a legendary skin for Master Yi. This skin gives him a futuristic and mechanical look, part of the PROJECT skin line of high-tech, augmented warriors. The base model is completely reworked, with shiny metal armor and glowy bits. The sword, a part of Yi’s kit, is now an energy blade that glows orange and blue when activated. The hooded helmet covers his face, with a narrow visor for his glowing eyes, and he’s all cyber.
The skin has new animations for all of Master Yi’s abilities, high-tech sound effects and VFX. His Alpha Strike (Q) leaves blue and orange trails, Meditate (W) has a green glow around him, Wuju Style (E) and Highlander (R) have neon effects and streaks. His auto-attacks have an energy trail behind each swing to show off his cyber speed.
Project: Yi released on September 7, 2015 and is one of the best skins in the PROJECT skin line because of its clean design and techy effects. The PROJECT skin line is characters reimagined as cyber warriors in a dystopian future. The VFX and sound effects haven’t changed since release.
