With so many Lee Sin skins to choose from, you might find yourself struggling to pick just one – you might also be expecting us to tell you to purchase Muay Thai Lee Sin, since that’s the skin this post is about, however, that’s not what we’re going to do;
This skin doesn’t have the same comedic nature as, say, Pool Party Lee Sin, and other skins might fit you better. We’re going to state why we think this skin is worth picking up and see if it’s in line with what you’re looking for.
To begin with, it includes plenty of references for you to enjoy.
Muay Thai Lee Sin was released in celebration of the Thai Server's launch, but unlike some other server launch skins, it’s more than just a gimmick. First off, his walk and auto-attack animation have changed to resemble the martial art form, Muay Thai.
Many people think of Muay Thai as synonymous with Kickboxing, but there’s a key difference that this skin captures perfectly;
Kickboxing utilizes the 4-point striking system (punches and kicks) while Muay Thai utilizes the 8-point striking system (punches, kicks, knees, elbows.) Muay Thai Lee Sin uses the 8-point striking system, and when he walks, he does so with his guard raised. A real look at Muay Thai can be seen here.
These tiny changes have a huge impact on the authenticity of the skin, something that any martial arts fan is likely to appreciate – or anyone who just likes things to be accurate.
Muay Thai Lee Sin’s outfit has also received a rework. The Blind Monk now sports a pair of blue and red shorts, alone with bandages around his ankles and ropes around his wrists. He bears a stark resemblance to Sagat from Street Fighter, who was almost certainly the inspiration for him.
The graphical changes might seem simple, but it’s definitely the new animations that make this skin worth 975 RP. It’s not just his auto-attacks that have changed either, his critical hits, Resonating Strike, Dragon’s Rage and recall have all received a new coat of paint!
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
