The story of how Death Sworn Viktor came to be is an interesting one; It keeps Viktors goal for a “Glorious Evolution” however there’s been a few slight changes.

That’s right. He had such reverence for death that he thought it’d be much better if everyone succumbed to it, and he made his opinion known loudly and often.

As you might imagine, the good people of his home town did not take well to the idea of being dead.

Eventually, the general populous of this town did what any rational angry mob would do; they hanged Viktor.

Death, however, had other plans for the great visionary, and figured that it would be a cracking joke if he resurrected Viktor as a Death Sworn – it’s unknown what befell the town after Death Sworn Viktors return, but it’s said that he obtained horrific Eldritch abilities. If we were the betting type, we’d say he razed his hometown and then moved on to find other cadavers to recruit.

In-game, Death Sworn Viktor bears quite a resemblance to the Reaper himself. Both Karthus and Death Sworn Viktor wear dark armour, wield staffs, and have the same colour of eerie energy oozing out of them.

It doesn’t take long to realise that Death Sworn Viktor is his own man though, as his abilities couldn’t be more distinct from Karthus’.

First, let’s take a peek at his recall animation;

Whenever you hit the B key, Death Sworn Viktor etches out deep grooves in the ground, which quickly form into a pentagram. After a moment of the pentagram spewing out arcane radiation, Death Sworn Karthus raises a hand and vanishes.

 One spell, in particular, stands out– his gravity field now consists of several occult sigils that glow brightly, surrounding those who would oppose Viktor in a ring of purplish-blue light.
