Commando Galio shares his skin theme with such Champions as Commando Lux and Commando Garen – they’re all dressed in a similar style of military uniform, and all sport a pair of stylish sunglasses.
In his splash art, Commando Galio is seen slamming down, with what appears to be the tail of a helicopter peeking out from beneath his titanic form. Either way, it’s impossible to tell exactly what Galio has just stomped on, as he’s crushed it like a coke can.
There’s a bit of lens flare going on, as the sun shines down over two fighter jets that speed past overhead. Tall buildings surround Commando Galio who’s posing with his wings outstretched. This piece has an immense sense of motion, owed to a couple of little details, such as small chunks of debris still in the air, and the tiny embers lazily floating down, both of which indicate that Galio has just slammed down.
In-game, Commando Galio emits an air of authority with his mechanical military suit, that’s complemented with an auburn bandana and bright orange sunglasses. His wings are built of corrugated green metal that glow with an unusual light that slowly shifts from one metal plate to the next.
A military badge adorns one shoulder, and a service number that reads “ CH-03” can be seen on the other. All these little elements help bring the skin together, and give it a true militaristic feel – also, his tail resembles that of a fighter jet, complete with a tiny engine. In our opinion, this gives him a bit of a Transformers sort of feel, but that’s a plus in our book!
One change that stands out is the new indicator that Hero’s Entrance has received – what appears to be the symbol of a fighter plane now marks the spot where Galio’s about to land, which befits such a hero.
As an extra easter egg – any Champion wearing sunglasses takes 1 less damage from Leona’s abilities – this adds up to 3 damage in the early game, which might be the difference between life and death! Keep this in mind if you’re up against her and are unsure of what skin to use.
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
