Aviator Irelia Lol Skin

Aviator Irelia is a common skin that was released in November 2010.

This skin features Irelia as an old fashioned pilot, ready to shoot down her foes. Unlike her usual skin, Aviator Irelia is decked out in pilots gear – along with blades that resemble those of the propeller of an aeroplane – especially when they float motionless behind her.

A few players complained that her hair looks too different. If you ask us, it fits her theme perfectly. Her usual straight teal locks are now a bouncing, bunch of curls, which gives off an appropriately windswept feel.

There’s no obvious group of skins that Aviator Irelia can be clumped into – although there are similarities between her and Red Baron Corki.

If you ask us, this skin is heavily inspired by Amelia Earhart who was an was an American aviation pioneer and author. And, of course, she was also the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean – before she tragically went missing.

The style of Irelia’s clothing closely resembles the attire worn by Mrs Earhart – especially the aviator goggles. Of course, it’s possible that Aviator Irelia was simply inspired by old fashioned pilots, but that’s not quite as fun.

As for the skin itself, the colours are muted; Tanned khakis, a tight-fitting top and aviator gloves make up the core of her outfit.

Unfortunately this skin comes with no new sound effects, which is a shame because propeller noises would have been great on her W ability.

Despite this, it’s still a top-notch skin, and is currently available in the LoL store for the measly sum of 520 RP.
