Urf the Manatee Lol Skin

Urf the Manatee skin was a special April Fools skin released for Warwick back in 2010.

The skin itself has a lot of trivia and history regarding it, making it a very unique skin. Urf, the Manatee was a cancelled League of Legends champion that was originally conceived as an April Fools joke. As Riot decided not to release the champion itself instead they decided to release a skin based on the champion to please fans. On 1st April 2010 the skin was released.

The skin itself features Warwick wearing the flayed carcass of Urf. The skin has had it’s model changed giving Warwick a unique look. There are no new animations, models or particles included with this skin but just the appearance of it alone makes it worth owning.

When the skin was originally released it had a price of 5000 RP in the store, making it the most expensive skin ever released. The skin had several prices that changed during its lifetime on the store. A week after the skin was released it was sold for a 99% discount (50 RP) for one week only. After this the price was increased to 500 RP for a week and then on the final weekend was set back to the original price of 5000 RP.

All procedures from the sale off the skin were donated to a foundation protecting hunted manatees by Riot.

Currently this skin is no longer available as it has been removed from the store. There is no indication that this skin will be coming to the store so the only way to obtain this skin is to buy an account with it already on.
