Elementalist Lux is an ultimate skin that was released near the end of 2016.
The skin is the 4th ultimate skin ever to be released; the others include Pulsefire Ezreal, Spirit Guard Udyr and DJ Sona.
The main unique feature of this skin is Lux’s ability to change into a different form.
Elementalist Lux starts every game in the Light form. As she gains elemental power from hitting enemy champions with her spells she will reach a power level that will let her transform. Using the form option on Lux’s portrait in game you can select a new elemental form. Her 10 forms are:
Each time you hit an enemy with a spell, small sparkles will appear around Lux to indicate she has gained elemental power. After she has maxed out her bar no more sparkles will appear. In total Lux can transform up to twice per game.
Starting in Light form you will be able to select a new form once you have reached enough power. The second form will then be determined on which form you picked first. Once she has transformed into her second form, no more elemental power can be accumulated.
The skin also has unique recall animations, particle effects and voice overs for all 10 of her different forms. The amount of work that has gone into this skin is truly incredible, considering each skin has its own model, texture, sound effects, particles and voiceovers, it’s like creating 10 new separate skins.
There are also several summoner icons that are included with the skin depending which version you get. The purchase of Elementalist Lux itself comes with 5 special icons (Light, Fire, Water Air Nature). If you purchase the Master Elementalist Lux bundle then you will receive all the 5 icons from the standard skin plus an additional 5 exclusive icons (Magma, Storm, Mystic, Ice, Dark) and an Elementalist ward skin. This ward skin also changes appearance depending what elemental form Lux is in.
Currently the skin is available in the store for 3250 RP while there is a Master Edition available for 3950 RP that includes an extra 5 exclusive icons and a skin ward. There are no plans for the skin to be removed from the store, just like the other ultimate skins that have been there for a long time.
Anyone who purchases any version of the skin (master or normal) before the 13th December 2016 will also receive a special Elementalist icon and origin border. If you love exclusive collectables then be sure to purchase this skin before 13th December 2016.
