What happens when an innocent mermaid becomes trapped in an arcane current? The answer is Deep Sea Nami.

She lures in her prey by a dangling a phosphorescent bulb like that of an Anglerfish. Her alluring visage also helps to charm unsuspecting creatures into swimming right at her, but make no mistake. Behind that pretty façade lies a heart as icy as the depths in which she lurks.

A quick glimpse at her splash art makes it clear that she’s an absolute leviathan, far larger than the measly morsel that is the deep sea diver seen at the bottom of the picture.

In game, Deep Sea Nami is a stunning blend of blues – her tail and staff are a deep cerulean whereas her underbelly is a dark purple. The long dorsal fin that runs from her temple down to her tail resembles a large neon blue mohawk – which compliments the twinkling bulb she dangles perfectly!

Her in game abilities and autoattacks have all been reskinned to match this corrupt version of Nami, becoming a darker blue.

As for her voice lines, they remain the same. However, they now have a creepy filter placed over them, so Deep Sea Nami doesn’t sound all sweet and chipper like her default skin does.

Her familiar fishies have also undergone a makeover. They have now been tweaked to resemble Anglerfish that are equal parts intimidating and derpy. One of these deep-sea fishes can also be found struggling to keep up with Nami’s Tidal Wave.

Deep Sea Nami bears a strong resemblance to Deep Sea Kog’Maw, who looks much more like the traditionally hideous Anglerfish than she does.
