Riot's bringing in the big guns with Vanguard, the notorious anti-cheat system from VALORANT, to League of Legends. You heard it right – they're cranking up their fight against the cheaters!

Now, for those living under a rock (or maybe just a really big Teemo shroom), Vanguard's been the talk of the town in VALORANT for its hardcore cheat-busting. This system isn't just your average Joe of anti-cheats; it's like the bouncer at the club who doesn't let any shady characters in. We're talking about a kernel-level system here. Kernel-level means it's got deep access to your system, making it a nightmare for cheat-makers.

"But wait," I hear you say, "isn't that kind of... invasive?" Well, yeah, it's a legit concern. Riot faced a bit of a storm with Vanguard over privacy worries in VALORANT. But they've been pretty adamant that Vanguard's only about keeping the game fair, not snooping on your cat videos or meme stash. They say it doesn't collect personal info differently from their current anti-cheat tech.

The goal here is simple but huge: to preserve the integrity of our League games, whether you're duking it out in Ranked, chilling in normals, or any other mode. And Riot's promising some nifty features with Vanguard's arrival. We're talking about hardware bans for the real naughty players and even match terminations if a cheater's caught red-handed, with LP refunds for everyone else (except the cheater, obviously).

If you’re looking to start fresh or avoid the hassle of ranking up with the new anti-cheat system, check out our ranked League of Legends accounts. We offer accounts across all tiers, so you can jump back into competitive play without the grind.

So, when's all this happening? Get ready for a major update around late February or early March. And if you've already been playing VALORANT and have Vanguard installed, you're good to go. If not, you'll need to install it to keep playing League.

This is a pretty big move from Riot, and it's sure to stir up some discussions. On one hand, it's a robust way to tackle cheating head-on. On the other, it's a bit like inviting a superhero into your house – sure, they'll keep you safe, but you might wonder how much of your privacy you're giving up for that security.

In any case, it's clear Riot's not messing around when it comes to keeping League fair and fun. So, gear up, summoners, and let's see how this new chapter in anti-cheating unfolds!
