A Look At League of Legends' Levelling Rewards

Prior to the start of season 8, players were only required to hit an account level of 30. This, similar to the new system, unlocked various summoner skills, access to rune slots from the old system and various other rewards that increased your performance odds in-game. However after the season 8 change to the levelling system things became far more complicated with regards to both how to level efficiently, and the rewards that come with it. Now we have a limitless system, with players hitting up to and above rank 3000. However there is a cap on ranked rewards, although they progressively increase and become more valuable as you level, we will be focusing on the rewards you receive in the first 500 levels on your League of Legends journey.

Level up Rewards

Below we will list the various significant and important levelling rewards that you will gain access to as you progress from levels 1 to 30 before we go into the big stuff. Trust me though, these will hold a fair bit of value as well and increase access to a fair few things!

Runes

Masteries, upgraded from the previous rune system from the days of old. These give your character-specific in-game bonuses and traits and can be tweaked and implemented to your liking. Giving you unique variations and bonuses for the champions you play ultimately affects their in-game performance!

As you progress towards level 30, more and more of these will be unlocked. Think of it as similar to a talent system from most MMO games. By the time you reach level 30, your full potential will be unlocked and you can mix and match these masteries at ease.

SUMMONER SPELLS

Summoner spells are some of the most impactful, influential and valuable tools you have on the rift. From changing the viability of your champion to giving you various advantages based on your style of play, these truly open up your options when it comes to gameplay. As you progress towards level 30 these will be unlocked at certain level benchmarks and I highly suggest you try each and every one of them out. Some will become absolutely vital such as Flash - which should always be placed on your F key binding because Flash starts with F obviously. Or spells such as Clarity which only really find use in ARAMs and for the most part is completely worthless.

BLUE ESSENCE

During your levelling grind from 1-30, you will routinely receive champion capsules and shards. These can be broken down for Blue Essence so that you may make purchases for the champions you actually want - if you were not so lucky to receive the shards for them in the first place. You should expect anywhere from 24000-30000 Blue Essence if you were to break down all of your rewards from 1-30. Make sure you do your research on which champions you are keen on buying as you are limited to how many refunds you have access to!

RANKED GAMES

After reaching level 30, and unlocking 20 unique champions you will be granted access to playing on the ranked ladder. This is the cornerstone of competition in League of Legends. It will be the best place that you can go to test your skill and practice in a competitive environment with your peers. It’s likely to be the most fun you have, and the least fun you have but worth every second! Note, that after level 500 for every 50 levels, players get 10 Mythic Essence and Glorious Champion Capsule.

Here are a few quick stats for you to consider when grinding away in League of Legends:

• An average game will give you approximately 200xp.
• Win of the Day will give you around 575xp.
• The lowest amount of XP to level (from 30-31) is 2500xp.
• The highest amount of XP to level (from 174-175) is 4600xp.

Daily Play Rewards

When you just join ranks of new League of Legends players you get unique rewards for playing daily. Make sure the unlock all of these, it makes a lot of difference.

CONCLUSION

Levelling up your account is a necessary yet tedious task when it comes to initially reaching the benchmarks required for optimal gameplay.
