Have you finally had enough of League of Legends? Be it through pure frustration, hatred of the game, or simply trying to combat video game addiction. Quitting League of Legends can be quite a difficult task. If you don't feel that merely uninstalling the game is enough, you can permanently DELETE your account for good.
The process is simple, and I can guide you through the steps needed to delete your league of legends account finally.
Step 1: You must create a "submit a ticket" with Riot Games support. You can do this by going to the League of Legends website, logging in with your account details and heading over to the "Support" section.
Step 2: You will now need to select "submit a ticket, " which will take you to the "submit a request" form page. Select the option for "account management, data requests or deletion".
Step 3: You can now state in the box that you would like to delete your account, and in the subject field, make sure you write "Account Deletion".
Step 4: Verification of your account is now required. You will need to submit the following details to prove you are the original owner of your League of Legends account.
It is crucial that you can prove ownership of the account, or it can ultimately be restricted, and you will lose access until you are able to properly prove that you are the original owner.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE: THAT IT WILL TAKE 30 DAYS FOR YOUR ACCOUNT TO BE DELETED AFTER YOUR REQUEST, AND YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO PLAY ON IT DURING THIS TIME. YOU CAN, HOWEVER, CONTACT CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO UNDO THIS DECISION BUT WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THE AFOREMENTIONED ACCOUNT VERIFICATION PROOF.
Account deletions can happen for several reasons. Some players become frustrated and simply no longer wish to play League of Legends, but the obvious and easy solution is to uninstall the game and stop playing. The permanent deletion of a player's account is seemingly the only way they can force themselves to stop playing and regain ahold of their lives.
It can often be the most responsible thing for an addicted player to do, allowing them to focus on school and work without the constant draw of League of Legends or other Riot Games titles.
After you follow the steps above and submit your deletion request, it will take Riot games 30 days to completely delete your account.
Keep in mind, that this will delete ALL accounts connected to your Riot Games account. So not only League of Legends, but Wild Rift, Valorant and all other titles connected to Riot Games on that specific account will be gone.
Your League of Legends account and IGN will be completely removed from existence. Another player will be able to claim your name as their own, and any progress on your account will be removed along with it.
In the 30 days needed to delete your account, you CAN contact customer support through the same ticket system and have them revert the deletion. This has to be done within 5 days of the final 30 day limit to guarantee the ticket is seen in time.
The short answer is no. After an account has been FULLY deleted and the 30 days have passed. That account is completely gone.
