The next League of Legends Blue Essence emporium is scheduled to be on patch 25.7, supposed to be released on April 2nd. Next emporium will be closer to the year’s end most likely November - December 2025
The Essence Emporium is one of the most popular shop events in League of Legends. It gives players a chance to use their Blue Essence on exclusive cosmetics like chromas, icons, emotes, and even some rare skins. It’s basically the only real way to spend Blue Essence once you’ve unlocked all the champions. Riot originally added it so long-time players had something to do with their extra currency.
The main appeal are the chromas which usually are not really worth their RP prices. Want to learn more about LoL Chromas read our dedicated guide.
Even though it only shows up twice a year, players always keep an eye out for it. Why? Because it's a great chance to grab limited-time items without spending real money. Plus, there’s always something fun or unexpected on the list.

Let’s keep it simple: the Essence Emporium is a special in-game shop where you use Blue Essence instead of Riot Points.
Blue Essence is the blue stuff you get from leveling up, (Need to earn blue essence? read our lol xp guide to maximize your BE gains) disenchanting champion shards, or completing missions. Most of the time, you use it to unlock champions. But during the Emporium, it turns into a kind of seasonal currency for cosmetics.
The Emporium pops up twice a year—usually once in the middle of the season and once near the end. Dates change a bit each year, but Riot always gives a heads-up.
For example, the 2024 end-of-year Essence Emporium ran from November 20 at 11 a.m. PT to December 11 at 11 a.m. PT.
When the Emporium opens, there’s a mix of random rewards and exclusive items you can only get during the event. Here’s what you can buy with Blue Essence:
Get a random icon. It's luck of the draw, but fun if you like surprises.
These are alternate color versions of skins. Most are available except limited or seasonal ones. The selection changes based on the time of year. Initially chromas should show up only twice in the emporium so you can expect only newer chromas there. However it’s not always like this.
A box of tiny champion icons, usually grouped by region. If you already have one, you’ll get Blue Essence back through crafting.
A cute and exclusive icon. Only sold during the Emporium.
Get a random ward skin. Same deal as icons—random, but a good deal.
Another exclusive item. Only appears in the Emporium.
This one’s a fan favorite. Only shows up during the event, and it’s super pricey.
The ultimate flex. It’s a banner just to show how much BE you’ve got.
Each Emporium has a different batch:
During the event, XP boosts are 50% off. So if you’re trying to level up quickly in League, now’s a good time to stock up.
Mystery Minis are little chibi-style champion icons. They’re grouped by region—like Demacia, Ionia, or Piltover. If you're a fan of collecting cute stuff or you just want to represent your favorite faction, these are worth checking out.
You buy them as a Mystery Minis Icon Box. You don’t know what’s inside until you open it, which adds to the fun. If you already own one of the icons, the duplicate goes to your Hextech Crafting tab. From there, you can disenchant it for Blue Essence, so it doesn’t go to waste.
Not sure which champs are in each region? Riot usually adds a description to the box in the shop, so you can get a rough idea before buying.
If you're part of the League Partner Program, the Emporium has a few extras for you.
It’s a nice way to give back to creators and long-time community members who are part of the program.
Official Riot Support Page claims that you need to be in LPP to get these chromas, but for me they were available in the previous BE Emporium. So it’s either bugged or they released the skins to the public.
Not everything in the Emporium can be bought endlessly. Some items have strict limits, either daily or overall.
Here’s a quick breakdown:
These limits help keep some items rare and prevent people from stockpiling too much all at once.
The First Essence Emporium showed up during Pre-Season Eight, and players loved it right away. It was the first time you could use Blue Essence—normally just for unlocking champs—to grab cool cosmetic stuff.
But in patch V12.12, Riot paused the Emporium. They said the system wasn’t sustainable and needed a rework. It came back in V13.17, and since then it’s been running smoothly again, showing up twice a year.
So, if you missed a few rounds—don’t worry. It’s made a solid comeback.
In the past you could have gotten an icon with three different tiers that not only costed 50,000+ Blue Essence but also a Rare Gemstone (Which were removed during the Mythic Shop Update).

If you’re sitting on a big pile of Blue Essence, the Emporium is the best time to spend it. But with so many options, it’s easy to blow it all in one go. Here are a few tips to make the most of it:
The Essence Emporium is a fun, twice-a-year event that gives Blue Essence a second purpose beyond unlocking champs. Whether you’re looking to flex with URFWick or just want some random new icons, there’s something in it for everyone.
If you’ve been saving up, this is the moment to spend smart. And if you missed it this time—no worries. The Emporium will be back before you know it.
