League of Legends has been around for quite some time now but it doesn't stop it from being one of the most popular games on all streaming platforms. With constant updates and changes to the meta, which make the game more and more interesting with every single patch, it's doubtful that this tendency is going to change. Only in March 2023, just on Twitch, viewers spent a total of 124.6 million hours watching their favorite streamers struggle on the Summoner's Rift.
The list we've created won't stay true for eternity, naturally, but most of these guys were in the LoL business for a long time and it doesn't look as if they were going somewhere. There is also a certain amount of subjectivity involved, so if your favorite League of Legends streamer isn't here —sorry, we promise we'll try to do better next time! In our best effort to include as many people as possible, the list is divided into different categories:
The Best Educational LoL Streamers
The Most Entertaining LoL Streamers
Professional Players Turned Streamers
Up-and-Coming LoL Streamers
This, not only allowed us to make more people satisfied but also made it possible to create a universal compendium that you can get back to every time you have no idea what stream to put on, be it in the background, for fun, or for educational purposes.
Let's start with the most obvious category. These are the most-watched League of Legends streamers, indicating their popularity among the community.
Top 3 most-watched LoL streamers according to TwitchMetrics Pro as of 2/27/2023:
Link - LEC stream
LEC is the Official Twitch Channel of the League of Legends EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) Championship is a must-watch if you are an esports enthusiast. With over 1.9M million followers and a concurrent viewership of around 140,000 at the peak, LEC is currently the most-watched LoL channel on Twitch.
Its production quality, engaging commentary, and entertaining segments easily keep viewers hooked. What also helps is a talented team of casters and analysts who provide insightful reviews and commentary on the matches, making it an excellent choice for both seasoned LoL players and newcomers to the game. Other than that — it's one of few streams where you can see so many LoL stars in one place. Players like Perkz, Jankos, Caps, or kaSing facing each other, make for quite an interesting spectacle.
Link - otplol_ stream
Otplol_ is basically LEC but in French, and with an addition of games from French tournaments. For some, it may come as a surprise (it sure did for me), but this channel goes head-to-head with its international counterpart. So much so that a week earlier or later this list could have looked a little different, with the first two places switched. However, despite both of them streaming major Europe, Middle Eastern, and African tournaments, just like you'd expect from the French, they seem to be much more open and spontaneous.
Maybe it's time to learn their language after all.
Link - fps_shaka stream
Shaka is a variety streamer. He started by presenting his viewers with his PubG gameplay as early as 2013 but soon he moved to other games. Although he frequently streams League of Legends, he is not a pro player (let's just say that reaching challenger is not his biggest concern) and mostly excels in fps titles (who would've guessed) as well as Street Fighter.
Shaka also has a youtube channel, so if you're interested, don't forget to check it out! It can be a great way, or at least a reason, to learn Japanese, as he doesn't speak English there, just like on Twitch.
For many League of Legends players, the road to improving their gameplay is a never-ending quest. Whether it's climbing the ranks or simply becoming a better player, there's always room for improvement and growth in this complex and dynamic game. That's where educational these educational streamers are definitely worth watching.
They mainly focus on providing informative and insightful content that can help players improve their gameplay, from tips and tricks to in-depth analysis of matches and strategies. Their unique points of view and reliability are also well illustrated by their average number of viewers.
Link - Last Shadow stream
LS is a familiar name to those seeking the true wisdom of Summoner's Rift. With a sizeable fan base of over 643,000 and an average concurrent viewership of roughly 4,000, the educational streamer has built a reputation on Twitch as a sage master of the game.
What distinguishes LS is his unparalleled expertise in the game and his ability to explain even the most complicated concepts in a way that's easy to comprehend. You can watch it all: coaching sessions, gameplay, and analysis of games, including the ones played during major tournaments. He is known for his thoroughness and accuracy, providing gamers with valuable secrets of decision-making, mechanics, and overall strategy.
LS's approach to coaching and analysis is direct and sometimes even blunt. But despite his sometimes scathing criticism, his feedback is given with the sole purpose of helping players improve. His unwavering commitment to his craft and his sincere desire to assist players in leveling up their gameplay have earned him a devoted following and established him as one of the most esteemed names in the LoL community.
If you're looking to sharpen your LoL skills and learn from one of the best in the business, and have a laugh, LS is undoubtedly worth your while, ex-Cloud9's coach for the win.

His coaching style is supportive and encouraging, making it accessible to players of all skill levels, quite wholesomely.
Link - Broxah stream
Broxah is a professional League of Legends player who has played for both Fnatic and Team Liquid. Today, he is a full-time streamer working for the latter. Throughout the years has established a strong presence in the League community.
As a professional jungler, Broxah's game sense and knowledge are still up to the standards of professional players. He enjoys sharing his thoughts on team compositions, jungle pathing, and ganking, as well as team fights, providing invaluable wisdom about the game. Thus, making him one of the best streamers if you like to spend a lot of time in the forest.

He tries not to ignore any questions (which is sometimes hard with over 3,500 average viewers) and provides guidance, making his content approachable and informative. His coaching style is patient and supportive, making his stream accessible to players of all skill levels.
Link - KatEvolved stream
He is, without a doubt, the Katarina player. His mechanical skills on this champion and mastery of the mid-lane make him feared, even among professional players.
KatEvolved's streams are a great resource for players looking to improve their mid-lane gameplay, particularly on Katarina (what a shocker). He frequently shares his opinions on the current state of the game, discussing meta mid-lane strategies, all well as best picks, and offering useful tips on how to improve your mechanics.
In addition to his expertise in mid-lane gameplay, KatEvolved is also passionate about theory crafting. He often creates item and rune tier lists for Katarina, providing players with optimal builds and playstyles. Despite his focus on Katarina, everyone can learn something new during his streams. Even Faker learned something new a few times.
Link - CoachCurtis stream
When it comes to League of Legends streamers, League can definitely be proud of some of them, and CoachCurtis is, without a shadow of a doubt, such a guy. He makes the most effort for his audience and it's reflected in the quality of both his streams and videos. He's always prepared and his extensive knowledge is more than enough to teach something new, even to seasoned veterans.
What's also important, he's also incredibly fun to watch. He's got a great sense of humor, knows what to say to lighten up his audience, and he's always ready with a joke or a funny comment. No matter who he's playing with, the banter is always lively and entertaining. The British accent just makes it better (at least for some). CouchCurtis also frequently interacts with his chat and enjoys answering questions and engaging in discussions with his viewers.
While watching the competitive play and learning from educational streamers can be incredibly informative, sometimes you just want to kick back and be entertained. The following streamers, with their charismatic personalities, humorous commentary, and unique playstyles, are sure to keep you entertained for hours on end. You may not learn a lot, but hey, at least you will have a laugh.
Link - Tyler 1 stream
Tyler1 is a larger-than-life personality who has become one of the most popular streamers in the League of Legends community. He first rose to fame as a high-elo Draven one-trick, known for his aggressive playstyle and incredible mechanical skill on the champion. Over time, he's expanded his champion pool, but his trademark aggression and flashy plays remain a constant presence in his streams. It also helped him excel in multiple roles during a challenge to achieve the rank of challenger on every position possible.
What really sets him apart from other streamers, however, is his infectious energy and honesty bordering on being brutal, at times. He's famous for his over-the-top reactions to big plays and his constant banter with chat, and he never fails to entertain with his quick wit and huge enthusiasm. He's also known for his tendency to get tilted and go on explosive rants when things don't go his way, which has somewhat earned him a reputation as a loose cannon in the community (as well as a few bans on the way).
Link - RossBoomsocks stream
One of the most entertaining and creative League of Legends streamers out there is RossBoomsocks. This Scottish YouTuber has gained a massive following on Twitch, mainly by doing things that we've always wanted to try in-game.
That dedication to experimenting with off-meta champions and builds is exactly what sets RossBoomsocks apart. He is not afraid to try out wacky and unconventional strategies, often leading to hilarious moments and even some unexpected victories. Watching his streams is like watching a mad scientist at work, constantly tinkering and testing to find the perfect combination.
Link - TheBausffs stream
TheBausffs is a top-laner known for his mastery of off-meta builds and playstyles, including the infamous "inting Sion" strategy. He has reached the pinnacle of the Challenger ladder a few years in a row using his unorthodox methods, proving that unconventional strategies can be just as effective as traditional ones.
Aside from his unique playstyle, TheBausffs is also a highly skilled player with impressive macro and mechanics. Watching his stream is a great way to learn more about top lane and how to push every champion to their limits.
One of TheBausffs' most popular creations is the "Solo Bolo" challenge, which made into the actual game. It involves killing an enemy without any external help. This challenge has led to some amazing moments and is a testament to TheBausffs' ability to outplay his enemies with ease.
Link - Yassuo stream
Yassuo is a former one-trick (guess his champion of choice), who has built a massive following of fans who love his edgy personality and entertaining gameplay.
Despite branching out from his one-trick days, Yassuo still plays Yasuo frequently and is known for his impressive mechanics and flashy plays. Old habits die hard but he's also diversified his champion pool, making him a player who can succeed in multiple roles.
What's great about him is that he's open about his in-game struggles, and his reactions to certain situations are often comical but relatable. This has helped him build a strong connection with his audience, and he's known for being a very interactive streamer who engages with his fans regularly.
But beyond his entertaining personality, Yassuo is also a high-elo player who can offer valuable insights and tips for climbing the ranks in League of Legends. His stream is a great place to learn from a skilled player while also having your boredom taken care of.
Link - Pokimane stream
While she isn't exclusively a League of Legends streamer, she does theoretically have more pro-gaming experience than some others from the list (if you can Twitch Rivals can be counted as such). Nevertheless, she is certainly a streamer you want to watch whenever you feel like seeing someone having fun.
LoL can be quite competitive, but that's what sets Pokimane apart from other streamers — her affable and humorous nature doesn't really take her to a breaking point. Her streams are always filled with laughter and lighthearted banter.
Beyond League of Legends, Pokimane has also dabbled in a variety of other games, from first-person shooters like Valorant to social deduction games like Among Us.
They say there is life after professional esports. And for some, that life involves a seamless transition from a pro player to a streamer. These guys are former or current professional players who have traded in their team jerseys for a Twitch hoodie and a webcam (at least part-time).
But don't let their laidback streams fool you — these players know what it takes to succeed in competitive play. They bring years of experience and skill to the table, making them some of the best players to watch if you want to see and interact with those whom you normally see as a nickname over a champion during the greatest tournaments.
Their streams are the best of both worlds — entertaining, but educational as well. They often discuss strategies, champion builds, and game mechanics whilst providing feedback from the perspective of a pro.
Link - Doublelift stream
Doublelift, also known as Yiliang Peng, is a former League of Legends pro player who has made a successful transition to Twitch streaming. Known for his unstoppable honesty, long pro career, and exceptional League of Legends gameplay, Doublelift has amassed a significant following on the platform.
In his LoL adventure, he has gone through eight different professional teams, got 9 professional titles, and was nominated for more awards than we are able to list. It's safe to say he knows his way around Summoner's Rift, all of that while staying quite a cool guy who rarely tilts, despite these few controversies he's gone through.
If you want to check out how many controversies exactly he was a part of (all in the same period too), don't forget to check out Doublelift's biography we've put together: <
Link - Jankos stream
Jankos is the Spiderman of pro gaming — capable of much but still being the friendly guy from the neighborhood. Some argue that his peak is over, but the truth remains that he has been an important part of the European League of Legends scene for several years and is considered by many to be one of the best junglers in the world.
You wouldn't say that if you saw his stream for the first time though (not because of his lack of skills). He is just extremely relatable, and while distracted by a chat, sometimes commits funny mistakes. He is the kind of person you would want to hang out with and grab a beer, even if you have no idea about League of Legends.
His positive attitude and friendly demeanor are always there to brighten your day. Personality isn't all though, as Jankos also is widely known for his aggressive playstyle and early-game pressure making him a master at snowballing games in his team's favor.
Link - Jankos stream
Pobelter is just another friendly fella. The only things that differentiate him from your neighbor are LCS titles and experience from four different esports teams behind his belt. He is not only a top-tier League of Legends player but also a beloved member of the gaming community.
From his early days playing Neopets and Nintendo 64 to his rise to fame as one of the best mid-laners in North America he is a true inspiration to gamers everywhere. Park's journey is a testament to the power of hard work and dedication. He has battled through difficult seasons and relegations to earn his place among the best of the best and show that a lot is possible when you commit enough time to it. His finesse and skill on the field are a sight to behold.
Link - Faker stream
Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok is a person who needs no introduction, and we would be afraid for our lives if we didn't include him on the list, despite him streaming on Afreecatv.com, not on Twitch.TV, like the rest of streamers we've included here. Whatever champion he chooses, it's like watching Picasso painting, only with a mouse, keyboard, and mid-lane instead of brush, canvas, and paint.
Sure, he streams in Korean, which can be seen as an obstacle by some, but the plays he makes on daily basis are in a universal language known to all League of Legends players. It's a true spectacle to behold, watching the master at work. We've also heard that he is quite a funny guy, but sadly, this piece of inter we won't be able to confirm.
If you've lived under a rock for some time, or would simply like to learn more about "The Unkillable Demon King", be sure to check out a biography of his, we've put together.
Link - Rekkles stream
Rekkles, arguably the greatest ADC Europe has ever seen, is not only an accomplished professional player but also a popular streamer, especially when he's not busy training. With his vast experience in the game, having played since League of Legends season 3, Rekkles is a great source of knowledge, mostly regarding the ADC position.
Rekkles also likes to provide some surprising insights into other popular personalities in the pro scene, giving viewers a glimpse into the world of esports that they might not get anywhere else. And with his friendly and personable demeanor, Rekkles is a joy to watch, making his streams a great source of entertainment as well as education.
Link - Caps stream
Caps's a guy with many names, but regardless if he is called Craps (when his performance is poor), or Claps (when he's at his best), there's no denying that we can't talk about professional players who took up streaming without mentioning him.
As a player who has been in the scene since he was a teenager, Caps has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with his audience. His early aspirations to become a pro-player after watching the likes of Faker and TSM_Bjergsens’ are something that makes him often relate to his viewers, many of whom may share a similar dream.
For those who are interested in learning from one of the best in the business, Caps' streams are the thing you might have been looking for. Even though his streaming schedule may not be set in stone, his streams are well worth waiting for, especially for those who are longing improvement.
If you'd like to learn something more about Caps himself though, here you go: [link]. You'll thank us later.
In the ever-growing world of League of Legends streaming, new talent is constantly emerging. Regardless of not making it to any of the main lists, these relatively new or lesser-known streamers show great potential to become big names in the community as they have already proved they may just have what it takes to sit among the greatest one day.
Link - Tomio stream
Tomio is currently a jungler in Cloud9 and an up-and-coming League of Legends streamer who is making waves in the community. While he's not yet able to make a living solemnly by streaming, his impressive skills in the jungle position are sure to take him there someday. As of today, he's gaining viewers on Twitch quite quickly.
While Tomio may not have the same level of recognition as some of the streamers previously mentioned, his dedication to the game and his engaging style of interaction make him a great streamer to keep an eye on. Fans of the Jungle role can learn a lot from watching his gameplay, and as he continues to grow and improve, there's no doubt that Tomio will make a name for himself outside of professional LoL, sometime in the future
Link - RJS stream
Say hello to yet another mid-laner — Alexey "rjs" Zatorski, also referred to as Deus and rjsdndgod, the first North American resident that played in a Korean league since 2012.
With a career over a decade long, rjs has collected a number of dedicated fans who tune in regularly to watch him climb the ranks of the competitive ladder but it doesn't mean he's reached his pinnacle, there is still room for some followers.
His streams provide viewers with high-energy commentary, expert analysis, and an engaging personality, making him a favorite (or yet to be favorite) among both casual and hardcore LoL players.
